Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi anunced a massive Rs 20 lakh crore stimulus pack, former Finance Minister and Congress leer P Chidambaram has said that party will scrutinise on who are real beneficiaries of scheme. 

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, he said that his reaction after PM Modi's 33 minutes speech was 'blank' as PM 'gave a heline and a blank p'. He said that he is looking forward to Finance Minister to fill gap. "We will also carefully examine who gets what? And first thing we will look for is what poor, hungry and devastated migrant workers can expect after y have walked hundreds of kilometres to ir home states. We will also examine what bottom half of population (13 crore families) will get in terms of REAL MONEY," he said.

PM Modi's anuncement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi anunced a financial pack with an aim to make India self-reliant (Atmanirbhar). According to him, earlier decisions of Centre along with new pack totals to Rs.20 lakh crore- i.e 10% of India's GDP.  details of pack shall be anunced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, May 13.

PM mentioned that this would benefit workers, hawkers, street vendors, farmers, business class, etc. He ded that special emphasis has been paid to land, labour, liquidity and laws. PM Modi also said that a self-reliant India should be vocal about local so that it can be global. About lockdown extension, he said that citizens will be informed about new guidelines of Lockdown 4.0 before May 18.
