While reporting that frontline troops of China and India at south and rth banks of Pangong Lake in eastern Lakh have started disengment, Russian news ncy TASS has claimed that Beijing lost 45 soldiers in Galwan Valley clash last year.
'45 Chinese servicemen de': Russian news ncy
According to a TASS report, "Chinese and Indian forces clashed in region in May and June 2020, resulting in at least 20 Indian and 45 Chinese servicemen de. Following se incidents, New Delhi and Beijing increased concentration of forces in region to about 50,000 people each."

This revelation by Russian news ncy comes even as China has remained silent on number of casualties it suffered during dely clashes. According to an American intelligence report, number of casualties on Chinese side was 35.
Chinese Defence Ministry said that frontline troops of China and India at south and rth banks of Pangong Lake in eastern Lakh started "synchronised and organised" disengment from Wednesday. re has been official comment by eir Indian Defence Ministry or Indian Army on Chinese statement yet. However, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will make a statement in Rajya Sabha on Thursday on situation in eastern Lakh.

At ir ninth round of military talks, Indian and Chinese armies agreed to push for an "early disengment" of troops and resolved to continue "effective efforts" to stabilise and control situation in eastern Lakh.
