Church Body slanders nun again, says 'Nun had an illicit relationship'

The Missionaries of Jesus has issued another statement on the Kerala nun rape case, continuing its slander campaign against the rape survivor nun. In the fresh statement, the Church body has said that the nun had a “questionable character and she had an illicit relationship with a taxi driver”.

In 3-page press release, Church body has continued with its character assassination of nun, saying, “after investigation by Missionaries of Jesus, it was found that nun was in a relationship with husband of anor woman ( nun’s relative) who complained to Bishop Franco. He ordered an investigation into same and now nun is accusing Bishop.”

statement while furr maligning victim’s image claimed that she is doing all this to ‘hide her own misdoings’, ding, “We are planning to go to court against nun for maligning Church and congregation.”

Church body also slammed those supporting nun, saying, “eminent political and cultural personalities making false statements without knowing truth.”

It also took on Kerala police for supporting nun, saying, “Kerala police is supporting nun. That’s why such allegations are being levelled against Bishop. nun is spreing utter lies. If we don’t protest against this conspiracy, we will have to face consequences from God.”

Earlier on Monday, while declaring war against Kerala nun, Missionaries of Jesus h issued a press statement, rejecting allegations levelled against Bishop. Church has sought to defend accused Bishop in case and took on victim inste.

Meanwhile, victim nun has written to Vatican seeking justice. In 7 page letter, nun spoke about "sexual exploitation” she suffered in hands of Bishop for two years, from 2014 to 2016. She also mentioned "continued torture through various means" that forced her to think about "leaving congregation silently in May 2017".
