Clash of Two Senas in Worli: Milind Deora Files Nomination Against Aaditya Thackeray

Mumbai: St is set for a high-stakes battle in Mumbai's Worli assembly constituency as Rajya Sabha member Milind Deora belonging to ruling Shiv Sena on Tuesday filed his mination and will take on sitting MLA Aitya Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT).

Deora, a former Congress leer and Union minister of state, joined Sena before Lok Sabha polls this year and was subsequently elected to Rajya Sabha.

Despite having a six-year term on hand in Rajya Sabha, Deora has been fielded against Aitya Thackeray, son of former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. His entry has me Worli a high-volt contest.

BJP spokesperson Shaina NC, who has joined Eknath Shinde -led Shiv Sena, also filed her mination for Mumbevi assembly seat in Mumbai against sitting Congress MLA Amin Patel.

Elections to 288-member Maharashtra assembly will be held on vember 20 and votes will be counted on vember 23. Tuesday is last day of filing of mination forms. deline to withdraw from contest is vember 4.
