Class 10 boy stripped, assaulted by classmates over Rs 200 in UP's Jhansi

Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a Class 10 boy was stripped, assaulted and forced to consume alcohol by a group of boys, including his classmates, in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on Monday. The incident unfolded after the victim student asked his classmate to return Rs 200 which he had borrowed from him. The entire act was recorded by the accused on their phone camera.  

In his complaint, the victim told the police that he was with his friend in a park when his classmates, who came in a car, approached him and just as he went to the car, they pulled him inside. The boy who had borrowed the money from the victim was also among them. The boys told the victim student that they were going to the forest to watch Army's target practice. Upon reaching there, the victim found two more boys waiting for him. He alleged that they were drunk and they forced him to consume alcohol, following which they started beating him up with belts and sticks. The six boys even forced him to remove his clothes, he alleged. He told police that he kept asking for mercy and to let him go but they continued to assault him. 

The suspects also threatened him of dire consequences if he went to police. The victim student managed to flee the spot and reached his home. Two days after the assault, the video was shared online. 

The boy told police that he lent Rs 200 to a friend. When he did not return the amount, the boy asked for it, and this had led to an altercation about two months back. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
