Bus Mows Down Schoolgirl on Way Back Home, Angry Crowd Vandalises Vehicle in Delhi's Malka Ganj

New Delhi: A teenage girl died after being knocked down by a DTC bus in Malka Ganj area of national capital on Tuesday afternoon. deceased student has been identified as Komal (12). 

Meanwhile, Sabzi Mandi police seized bus and arrested driver who has been identified as Sher Singh. Komal used to live with her family in Hotel Wali Gali in Malka Ganj. She is survived by her parents, a bror and a sister. 12-year-old was a Class 8 student of a government school located in malka Ganj. 

tragic incident took place when she was returning home from school. When she was on way home, an Anand Parvat-bound DTC bus plying from Anand Vihar mowed down girl, leaving her critically injured. girl was rushed to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where she succummed to her injuries in evening.

incident also led to panic and chaos in area as locals vandalised bus involved in accident. Visuals surfaced from incident site wherein people were seen vandalising vehicle by damaging its windshield with stones.

Furious over incident, local people started pelting stones at bus. situation worsened to such an extent that crowd was going to set bus on fire just when police reached spot and pacified angry crowd.
