Kinnigoli, Mangalore: A heart-wrenching video from Mangalore’s Kinnigoli has been going viral on social media wherein an auto rickshaw collided with a woman as she was crossing the road. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, and the woman was tragically trapped beneath it. The accident occurred right in front of her young daughter, who witnessed the horrifying scene. The little girl rushed to her mother’s side and, despite her visible trauma, tried to lift the overturned autorickshaw in a desperate bid to free her.

Passersby quickly responded to the emergency, but it was the girl's heroic effort that resonated deeply with viewers. The video, which has spread widely across social media, showcases the child's extraordinary determination and strength in the face of such a heart-wrenching situation.

The injured woman has been identified as Chethana, a 35-year-old resident of Rajaratnapura. At the time of the incident, Chethana was collecting pigmy deposits and was en route to pick up her daughter, Vaibhavi, a seventh-grade student, from her tuition centre.

Chethana sustained severe injuries in the collision, while the auto-rickshaw driver, a passenger, and others involved in the accident experienced only minor injuries. The harrowing event was captured by a nearby CCTV camera. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident to determine the causes and assess necessary safety improvements.
