CM Amarinder Singh: 'SAD leaders obstructing coordination with SGPC'

Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, has accused Shiromani Akali Dal (S) leers, Harsimrat Bal and Sukhbir Bal, for obstructing coordination between State Government and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). y were accused of intervening in facilitation of Parkash Purb celebrations to mark 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. CM Amarinder Singh said that three cabinet ministers met SGPC officials on Tuesday and h a friendly and polite discussion on organisation of festival. He rebutted opposition’s claims about State Government t delivering on its promises.

Definitely t Taksali Akalis of founding party," said Chief Minister while campaigning for Congress candidate Captain Sandeep Sandhu in upcoming by-election.

‘Promises being fullfilled’
Punjab CM ded, "All promises are being fulfilled in sts and remaining would also be implemented as fiscal situation of state improves. CM Amarinder Singh also called out Pakistan for imposing a 20% fee on visit of Indian pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan. "How will poor pilgrims pay this amount? Sikh religion propounds 'Khulle Darshan' - an ideology that Pakistan seems bent on violating".

‘Kejriwal diverting blame’
Speaking about Arvind Kejriwal’s claims that stubble burning in Punjab was causing air pollution in Delhi, Amarinder Singh said, “Though stubble being burnt in Pakistan and rrn states were carrying pollutants to national capital due to westerly winds, it is only a small part of problem Kejriwal is trying to divert blame to or States to hide his own failures. Our government is taking all possible steps to ensure that few farmers who are still burning pdy straw in Punjab also put an end to damaging practice.”
