'Onion Prices on the High'

The price drop relief is much needed by the citizens of Delhi who have seen the onion cost sky-rocket due to monsoon. This price crisis was not only witnessed in the national capital but also in other States as well. The cost climbed to Rs. 70-80 per kg in Delhi which has been wreaking havoc for the citizens. Sources said that supply of onion has been disrupted due to excessive rains increasing the retail prices. The Centre could impose stock limits on onion traders as the retail prices have shot up to Rs. 70-80 per kg. However, the government has taken several measures to arrest this rise in the cost of onion in Delhi and other parts of the country.

The popular freebie was electricity bill waiver which claimed that people do not have to pay electricity bills with power consumption exceeding 200 units.
