Maharashtra: Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath once again me pitch for Hindu unity with his hit slogan ‘Batenge to Katenge’ in Maharashtra , ahe of next week's Assembly election. Polling in key state will take place on November 20 and counting on 23.

UP CM drew sharp contrasts between NDA alliance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MVA bloc comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress , and NCP (SP).
Referring to historical division of India, ityanath said, “Because you were divided, this country was divided, and Hindus were killed because y were divided. That is why I have come to tell you: don't get divided. 'Ek hain toh safe hain'”.

He also revisited Ayodhya issue, asserting that Hindus faced 500 years of humiliation because y were divided.
"We were divided, and that is why we suffered. 'Hum bate isliye kate (Since we were divided, we fell)," seer-turned-politician said.

ityanath praised resolution of Ayodhya dispute, crediting Prime Minister Modi's leership since 2014 and his own tenure as Chief Minister of Uttar Presh, which began in 2017, for issue's eventual resolution.
" Congress never wanted to resolve Ayodhya issue, which was finally resolved in 2019 under Modiji's leership," he ded.

Earlier on Tuesday, ityanath said new Bharat under PM Modi works for "sabka saath and sabka vikas" and guarantees everyone's safety and progress.
"Don't make mistake of Lok Sabha elections in Amravati. If you are divided again, puja for Lord Ganesh will be attacked and lands here will be captured in name of love and land jih. safety of women will be in jeopardy," he said.
In 2024 general elections, Congress won Amravati constituency by defeating BJP nominee Navneet Rana by around 20,000 votes.
ityanath said in Uttar Presh, re was no such issue as "love jih" or "land jih." Right-wingers and BJP leers describe love jih as a conspiracy by Muslim men to lure Hindu women into marriage and force m to convert. y claim that land jih implies capturing of land by members of Muslim community.
ityanath also emphasised strong stance of UP government on protecting women and poor.
"re is no love jih or land jih in Uttar Presh. Anyone who poses a danger to safety of daughters or dares to capture land belonging to poor and government, 'Yamraj' will be rey to cut ir tickets," ityanath ded.
He listed various initiatives undertaken by Narendra Modi government, emphasising development of infrastructure, including highways, railways, metros, and institutions like IIMs and AIIMS.
"This is a new India," he declared, pointing to India's military strength and successful surgical strikes and airstrikes carried out after 2014.
