Indian Police Service, on Thursday, has condemned an article of New York Times for its 'concerted effort to defame and denigrate Indian Institutions' with its 'biased reporting' and 'outright lies'. remarks came after an article titled ‘How Delhi’s Police Turned Against Muslims’ questioned Delhi Police’s supposed role in violence that broke out in rth East Delhi in late February.

IPS tweeted about article and stated that IPS was a professional body, and pointed out that y too h lost two of ir own during riots, while 70 more personnel were injured.

article accused Delhi Police of being complicit in violence and even acting out against Muslims. article stated that Delhi police ‘concertedly moved against Muslims’ and ‘at times actively helped Hindu mobs’. article also called India’s police culture ‘brutal’, ‘biased’, and ‘anti-mirity’.
