Bhopal: Mhya Presh Chief Minister Mohan Yav on Saturday compared Congress to Kans, Lord Krishna's evil uncle in mythology, and alleged that party always opposed Sanatan culture.

Yav, who was campaigning for BJP in Satrana and Lkui vills of Budhni assembly seat for vember 13 bypolls, said leers of Congress did t pray to Lord Ram or go to Ayodhya.

"Krishna Kanhaiya of Jamuna ji (of Mathura) is still left," Yav said in an apparent reference to Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura.

"We didn't see Kans. But see se Congress people. re is difference between Kans and Congress. y are of same line and emotions," he said.

' Difference Between Congress and Kans'

He alleged that Congressmen always opposed good things and Sanatan culture.

"y (Congress) create rifts and divisions in country. y make people fight each or," he said, claiming that t a year passed without a riot during Congress rule.

chief minister said, "re are such riots in our regime. Our government takes everyone along. A small country like Pakistan used to intimidate us. w we give a suitable reply by entering ir territory." He also urged people to question Congress about work it did during its 55-year rule and claimed opposition h thing to do with development.

BJP has changed face of state and Budhni assembly seat in 20 years, Yav said.

chief minister, who was also in Indore during day, expressed confidence that BJP will form governments in Jharkhand and Maharashtra .

"re is a BJP wave in air. While campaigning, I could tell that BJP will form governments in Jharkhand and Maharashtra for sure," he told reporters in Indore.

bypolls will be held in Budhni seat in Sehore district and Vijaypur in Sheopur district on vember 13. votes will be counted on vember 23.

elections in Budhni assembly seat was necessitated due to resignation of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan , who was elected as MP from Vidisha Lok Sabha seat.

In Vijaypur, former Congress MLA Rawat joined BJP ahe of Lok Sabha polls this year. He is currently forest minister in state BJP government and is contesting by-election.
