Congress' Digvijaya Singh fearmongers on Article 35A, says 'Centre wants Kashmir, not Kashmiris'

Even as the Centre have provided proofs of attacks planned by Pakistan all across Kashmir, Congress continues to fear monger over the status of Article 35 A. After Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the deployment of security forces in the valley was 'worrisome' and created fear in the people's minds, another Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh has echoed similar stand. Singh said on Saturday that Centre is lying about the terrorism threat in the state and under its veil, Centre will take some other action, with an obvious hint to Article 35 A. 

"They want Kashmir, not Kashmiris. Why is this happening? This does not happen during the Congress rule. They have poisoned youth's mind with communalism... I don't believe this government. Every day, there are terrorist incidents. Does anything big happen due to which they stopped the Amarnath yatra," Singh told reporters.

Singh continued to say that deployment of forces is a sign of a big action in Kashmir. "More 20,000 force have been sent there. This seems to be an indication of some big action. BJP should think before doing anything in Kashmir valley because it is very sensitive. They are in a mood to take some big action. They are lying that there is some terrorist threat," he said.

Planned attack on Amarnath Yatris by Pakistan Foiled By Indian Army

In a joint press brief by Chinar Corps Commander Lt General KJS Dhillon and J&K DGP Dilbag Singh in Srinagar on Friday, they revealed that they had intelligence inputs that there were attempts of attacks on Amarnath Yatra by Pakistan and that they had recovered IEDs and US made Sniper rifle in the route of the Amarnath Yatra.  Speaking in the press conference, Lt General KJS Dhillon said that Pakistan Army landmine has been recovered from one of the caches of terrorists. He added that it clearly indicates that Pakistan Army is involved in terrorism in Kashmir and declared that it will not be tolerated. IG CRPF Zulfiqar Hasan added on same lines,

"Amarnath Yatra has seen unprecedented turnout and inspite of many threats it has been peaceful, there have been serious attempts to disrupt the yatra but it has been unsuccessful due to the hard work of security personnel, use of technology and cooperation of people."

7 Pakistan BAT army men eliminated:

Indian security forces on Saturday killed seven members of Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) in Kupwara's Keran in Jammu and Kashmir. As per sources, three of the members were terrorists and four belonged to the Pakistan Army. They were trying to attack Indian soldiers in one of the forward posts of the Army. Sources also informed that the attackers included terrorists and regulars of Pakistan Army and were carrying large quantities of weapons knives, but they were located before they could strike and were killed by the Indian Forces.
