Biswanath Chariali: Union Minister Sarbananda Sowal on Sunday said that Congress represents "communalism, corruption, and conflict," urging public to support BJP candidates in upcoming Assam bypolls.

Speaking at two public meetings in Bedeti and Borjaroni in support of BJP's Behali candidate Diganta Ghatowal, Union Minister Sarbananda Sowal emphasized that NDA government is committed to "nation-building" with a vision of making India "self-reliant through inclusive growth."

"For years, under misrule of Congress governments, both at Centre and in state, people h to endure lots of hardship. governance of Congress and politics that it believes are entrenched in divisionary tactics.

"With years of misdeed, Congress means communalism, corruption and conflict. When you go out to vote to elect your next representative, you should vote for cause of nation-building," Sowal said.

He said that people's faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's development nda has sparked a new wave of progress and enthusiasm.

It also brought hope among people of Assam and rast, he said.

" NDA, led by BJP, champions progress, equity, dignity and prosperity of every Indian. It has ushered in a dece of transformative vancements, marking a clear departure from corruption, favouritism and poor governance seen in previous deces," Sowal claimed.

BJP government has empowered communities and uplifted lives of people across country, while youth experienced "stifled opportunities and common citizens bore brunt of systemic injustice under dark of Congress rule", union minister alleged.

"Today, we have moved beyond those times. As we look towards future, it is essential to remember choices that shape path forward. Let us all join and continue our journey towards building a better, stronger India," Sowal said.

Against Ghatowal, opposition Congress has fielded Jayanta Borah, while Lakhikanta Kurmi from CPI(ML) Liberation and Ananta Gogoi from AAP are also in fray in Behali assembly constituency.

Bypoll will take place in Dholai (SC), Sidli (ST), Bongaigaon, Behali and Samaguri assembly constituencies as se seats fell vacant with representatives of m winning recent Lok Sabha elections.

polling for byelection will take place on vember 13 and votes will be counted on vember 23.
