Indian Army's attack on terror launch pads situated in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) drew praise from senior Congress leader KTS Tulsi. "It is a good step because now the steps that were taken by them (terrorists) for infiltrating into the country are well known and from the border, their establishments can be seen," said the Congressman adding, it was a good thing to bomb those sites.

Striking the source of problems

On Sunday, the Indian Army launched targeted attacks on terrorist camps situated inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) opposite the Tangdhar sector. Terror launch pads in Jura, Athmuqam, Kundalsahi were hit on Saturday night. Credible information was available on terrorist presence in the mentioned areas.

This is in retaliation to the support provided by Pakistan Army to push terrorists into Indian territory. Indian army used artillery guns to target the terrorist camps which have been actively trying to push terrorists into this side of the border.

Pakistan's unabated ceasefire violations

Two soldiers and a civilian were killed as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in the Tanghar sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday, police said. Three civilians were also injured in the firing by Pakistani troops, they added. Two houses were damaged in the incident. In addition, the attack also destroyed two cars, two cowsheds that housed over 19 sheep and cattle. One rice godown was also damaged.

Previously on October 4, in a blatant security violation, Pakistan Army had continued to target civilians along the Line of Control (LoC), killing an 18-year old Kashmiri youth in the Kamalkote sector, Uri district in Jammu-Kashmir. Sources reported that the Pakistan Army has been committing ceasefire violations for the past 24 hours in the area. The Pakistan Army was reportedly targetting Indian Army posts as well as the civilian population. Sources reported that mortar shells were used by the Pakistan Army in this unprovoked firings.
