'Conspiracy or Pre-Planning to the Crime?': CBI's Key Questions in Kolkata Rape-Murder Case

Kolkata: CBI is seeking answers to questions that hint towards a possible conspiracy or pre-planning to the crime in the Kolkata Rape and Murder Case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has called the ex-principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital for the third consecutive day in order to question him in the Kolkata Horror Case.

"We have a list of questions for him," the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer told PTI.

Ghosh was asked to specify his role after getting the news of the death of the doctor, who he had contacted and why he made the parents wait for nearly three hours, he said.

The ex-principal was also questioned who had ordered the renovation of the rooms near the seminar hall at the emergency building of the hospital after the incident.

"We are trying to find out whether there was any conspiracy or pre-planning to the crime. What was the principal doing and whether he is involved with the incident in any manner," the officer said.

CBI Trying to Get Phone Call Details of Sandip Ghosh

Ghosh, who appeared before the CBI officers on the third consecutive day on Sunday, was asked to furnish details of the phone calls he made before, and after the incident at the hospital, an officer of the central probe agency said.

The sleuths are also mulling contacting the mobile phone service provider to get the details of Ghosh's phone calls and data consumption, he added.

What Questions Did CBI Ask Former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital

In their two days of intense questioning, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) asked a lot of questions to the the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh.

The ex-principal was first asked where he was on the night when a trainee doctor from his college was brutally raped and murdered in the seminar room on the campus.

He was also asked how he got the information about the horrific incident, his first and immediate reaction to it and what was his next step - who did he instruct to inform the family and how was the police contacted.

The officials of the probe agency also matched and corroborated the statements of Sandip Ghosh, with the statements of the doctors, nurses and interns who were on night duty on that fateful night.
