Cases of coronavirus infection continue to rise in India. As a precaution, government of India has w extended lockdown to May 3, 2020. Moreover, several States have declared multiple coronavirus hotspots where threat of infection is highest. Here is a look at all coronavirus hotspots in State of West Bengal.

As of April 14, 2020, reported number of total Coronavirus cases in West Bengal has risen to 190. Chief Secretary of West Bengal has w anunced multiple hotspot locations in state. All local markets and ros in se areas will be completely shut down for 14 days. se hotspots have a high rate of infection and are considered danger zones. se hotspots will be completely locked down to prevent spre of Coronavirus. People will t be allowed to exit ir homes eir.

According to chief secretary of West Bengal, re will be stricter protocols imposed in se areas. However, chief secretary also mentioned that ministration will arrange all basic necessities such as food, water, and even medical support. While chief secretary did t mention names of hotspots, in a later report, ar government official revealed that hotspots are Alipore, Bhawanipore, Mudiali, Burrabazar, Nayab, Dumdum, Salt Lake, Ultanga and Belghoria.

According to Government official, Kalimpong, Tehatta (Nia district), Egra (Purba Medinipur), Haldia will also be considered hotspot locations. Parts of rth and South 24 Parganas district, Mallick Fatak area, Foreshore ro, Rajballabh Saha Lane, Salkia and areas around Howrah district hospital are also hotspots and will be under total lockdown. Steps to prevent spre of Coronavirus, as stated by Government of India
Or than imposing lockdown, Indian government has also shared official tips that one must follow to prevent spre of virus. Some important and basic steps include washing your hands regularly, cleaning your house with alcohol-based sanitizers/disinfectants, and social distancing. Wearing masks and avoiding human-to-human contact are also necessary precautions.
