COVID-19: Nitin Gadkari says 'Scientists in India working to develop Coronavirus vaccine'

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday said that several Indian scientists and institutions are working to develop a COVID-19 vaccine.

In view of Coronavirus pandemic, Union Minister Nitin Gkari on Tuesday said that several Indian scientists and institutions are working to develop a COVID-19 vaccine. dressing 'MSME and Infrastructure-Paving growth path in Post-COVID World' event, he said, "I have heard that a lot of experiments in US have been successfully implemented. In India also a lot of institutions and scientists are working on it. We are waiting for vaccine," he said while dressing MSME and Infrastructure-Paving growth path in Post-COVID World event.

He furr ded, "At same time, we are facing an ecomic war. t only India but whole world is facing this problem. I feel that way in which whole world w has a lot of reactions about China, whole world is w interested to find out some new options for m. I feel that India is definitely going to be a very good, viable option for all investors in world."

Gkari clarifies on MSP statement 

Earlier, several reports were out quoting Union Minister that  government's Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agriculture crops are way higher than domestic market prices and international rates which can create an "ecomic crisis" in country. To this, Dakari refuted claims and said, "Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leership h decided to hike MSP. I have t me any statements about decreasing MSP. This has been falsely attributed to me and I feel b about it. Farmers should stay away from wrong news. Central government has always protected farmers and will continue doing so."

Earlier this month, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar h anunced that Union Cabinet has approved increase in MSP  for 14 Kharif crops by 50 percent to 83 percent. Maintaining that farmers were a priority for Centre even during nationwide lockdown, he h revealed that y gave a bumper crop due to thoughtful decisions taken by government. Tomar h also mentioned that Cabinet h decided to extend time for farmers to repay ir loans till August 31. If a farmer mand to repay loan till August 31, only a 4 percent interest shall be applicable.
