COVID-19: Workers at petrol pumps in Odisha deny services to people without masks

Petrol pumps in Bhubaneswar, Odisha are now denying to serve the motorists who are not wearing masks amid the rising fear of deadly coronavirus outbreak.

Amid unprecedented outbreak of dely coronavirus, while most countries around world are under lockdowns including India, petrol pumps in Bhubaneswar, Odisha is w denying to serve motorists who are t wearing masks. People and organisations across world are taking ditional measures to eir contribute to nation’s fight with pandemic or encour ors to take extra precautionary measures. General Secretary of Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association, Sanjay Lath called his workers “hero” while talking to ANI and said that recent move will t only protect workers but also or people. 

As of April 13, India has recorded 9,240 confirmed cases of coronavirus with at least 331 fatalities. ims from petrol pumps show signs of “ mask, petrol/diesel/CNG” amid coronavirus outbreak. With nationwide lockdown on its place, only essential services are being available to citizens to curb furr spre of dely COVID-19.

Since ims from petrol pumps in Odisha emerged on social media, people are t only applauding workers for initiative but also said this is “how it should be”. One of Twitter users even recalled how before pandemic, petrol was denied to bikers without a helmet.
