The Health Ministry on Wednesday said that the Districts of the country have been classified into three categories — hotspot districts, non-hotspot districts and green zone districts — based on the level of novel Coronavirus contamination.
Hotspot districts, also termed as 'Red Zones', will be further categorised into two — hotspot districts with large outbreak and hotspot districts with clusters. Areas under Red Zone will have the strictest lockdown measures to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. While a large outbreak district would have uniform restrictions, one with a cluster outbreak may see stricter restriction in the identified area than the rest of the district.
So far 170 hotspot districts have been identified.
