7-Year-Old Boy Beaten to Death by Mother's Live-in Partner, Arrested

Gurugram: A 7-year-old boy was killed, and his 9-year-old bror was seriously injured after y were thrashed allegedly by ir mor's live-in partner, police said on Monday. police have identified name of accused as Vinit Chaudhary, he is a native of Uttar Presh's Bijnor district, and works in a private company in Gurugram. 

police report suggests that ‘Preet’ is seven years old and his older bror ‘Manu’ is nine. ir mor has been living with Vinit in Rajender Park for past few months after her husband passed away in 2023.

victim's grandfar informed police that Vinit would often beat boys in ir mor's absence. On Sunday, Vinit thrashed Manu and Preet when ir mor was not re at home. complainant said that children were rushed to hospital, from where his daughter-in-law informed him about incident. By time he reached re, Preet succumbed to his injuries, and Manu was undergoing treatment, said police.

Based on grandfar's complaint, an FIR was registered on accused, and he was arrested on Monday, an official confirmed. " accused confessed to crime. He will be produced in a city court on Tuesday", Gurugram police spokesperson said.
