Before NCB remand, here's what Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer said while appearing for Kshitij
A Mumbai court on Sunday remanded Kshitij Ravi Prasad in the NCB custody till October 3 after his arrest in a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

A Mumbai court on Sunday remanded Kshitij Ravi Prasad, who was earlier hired as an executive producer of a top Bollywood banner, in NCB's custody till October 3 following his arrest in a drugs case linked to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

Kshitij Ravi Prasad arrested
Prasad was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday after questioning. His name cropped up during NCB's wider probe into alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus. He was produced before a magistrate court here via video conferencing which remanded him in probe ncy's custody till October 3 for furr investigation. NCB on Saturday recorded statements of actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in drugs probe linked to Rajput's death and an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus.

probe ncy told court on Sunday that Prasad in his statement said that he had procured drugs from ar accused Karamjeet Singh Anand and his associates. probe ncy furr said investigation into case revealed that accused is a part of a conspiracy for drug procurement with or accused persons. He is connected with or accused linked to Rajput's death case, it said. investigation into this case is in preliminary st as revelations made by Prasad are to be verified, NCB furr said.
It also said that Prasad is indirectly connected with accused Anuj Keshwani, from whom commercial quantity of contraband was seized. refore, it is necessary to interrogate in deep as to whom accused was delivering contraband in Bollywood, it added. Prasad's lawyer Satish Maneshinde, who is also incidentally Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, however, told court that accused was "harassed and blackmailed" to give a statement. He was also subjected to third-degree and ill-treatment, lawyer alleged. Maneshinde n requested court to record Prasad's statement, which it allowed.

Prasad told court that during a raid at his house NCB did t find anything, except a stale and dry cigarette butt, which y "believed to be a ganja joint", a te shared by his lawyer said. Prasad said his two friends picked up by ncy, were asked to give a statement against him. He also claimed that NCB official, while recording his statement inserted "patently false claims" despite his protest. Prasad told court that his statement was t recorded as per his narration and langu. He claimed to have "unwillingly signed statement after nearly 50 hours of interrogation, humiliation and torment", te said.

After hearing both sides, magistrate said that detailed custodial interrogation of Prasad was "justifiable" to get truth out. On Friday, NCB had also questioned Anubhav Chopra, who earlier worked with same banner as Kshitij, in connection with alleged drug-nexus in film industry.
