BSF apprehends seven Bangladeshi trying to enter India with support of Human Traffickers

Border Security Force in West Bengal apprehended seven Bangleshis who were entering into India with support of local human trafficking nts on Wednesday 26 August. seven were Bangleshi nationals, who were apprehended by vigilant troops of Border Out Post - Mahendra, in border area of district Nia in West Bengal.
"On 26th August, 2020, acting on specific information passed by villrs of Gajna vill, about presence of some unkwn persons on outskirts of vill Gajna, we prepared a Quick Reaction Team and proceeded towards outskirts of border vill Gajna. At about 11:30 am, troops observed seven persons including two females and one kid at Gajna-Tarakpur ro waiting for vehicle," said a senior BSF officer in Bengal.

When BSF party asked m for ir identities, y could t produce any valid Indian identity documents. Hence, BSF detained m and brought m to BOP Mahendra in Nia.
"y revealed that y h crossed from Banglesh to India last night from an unfenced patch. ir identities are as under were checked. Three were from Kulna, two were from Barisal and one was from Jamalpur in Banglesh," said senior BSF officer.

A total amount of 2,106/- Bangleshi Taka along with ir personal clothing was recovered from apprehended persons. On course of questioning, it was furr revealed that two of women as mentioned were moving to Hyderab in India and rest were moving to Chennai for labour work. All apprehended persons were handed over to Hanskhali Police Station in Nia, West Bengal.
