CBI issues first statement on Sushant case post SC verdict, says 'team will visit Mumbai'
Hours after the Supreme Court gave its nod to the CBI to probe death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, the independent investigating agency has issued a statement

Hours after Supreme Court gave its d to CBI to probe mysterious death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, independent investigating ncy has issued its first statement. Refraining from sharing any details, CBI asserted that investigation in death case is continuing. It also affirmed that CBI officials would visit Mumbai later for furr investigation.
" investigation related to death of Sh. Sushant Singh Rajput is continuing. CBI team will visit Mumbai in due course for furr investigation. Or details can t be shared at this st," CBI statement read.

CBI registers FIR
independent investigating ncy had registered an FIR after Centre had approved Bihar government's proposal last week. FIR registered by CBI has named 6 persons in total including Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty. case has been registered under IPC 341, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306, 506 and 120 B. Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Yadav has been named as Investigating Officer (IO) in case.
ors named in FIR are Rhea Chakraborty's family members, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty. Apart from se, Sushant's home staff manr Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi have also been named in FIR. Additionally, Enforcement Directorate has initiated a money laundering case against Chakraborty in connection with Sushant death case.

Reiterating its quarantine protocols, BMC has maintained that CBI officials will t be quarantined if y visit Mumbai for less than a week. However, Municipal Corporation has highlighted that officers would have to undergo quarantine if y visit city for more than 7 days.

SC gives d to CBI probe
Supreme Court on Wednesday has prounced verdict while hearing Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of probe and gave d for investigation to be conducted by CBI. Supreme Court also directed Mumbai Police to cooperate with CBI during investigation.
A single-judge bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy upheld Bihar government's order to transfer investigation to CBI. Moreover, Justice Roy held that Bihar Police had jurisdiction to register FIR at complaint of Sushant's far. In verdict, bench has directed CBI to probe any or case registered on Dil Bechara actor’s death and surrounding circumstances.
