Chandrababu Naidu detained at Vizag airport, sent back after YSRCP protests against fmr CM

Former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu was detained by the police on Thursday at Vizag Airport after a five-hour-long standoff between TDP and YSRCP cadres

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was detained by police on Thursday at Vizag Airport after a five-hour-long standoff between TDP and YSRCP cadres who were protesting against Naidu's visit to Vishakhapatnam. As TDP supremo arrived from Vijaywada, workers of YSRCP stopped his convoy while some of m even lay flat on road restricting Naidu from proceeding furr. YSRCP workers also raised slogans of 'Babu Go Back' and 'Jai Jagan' as y protested against former CM. 

TDP-YSRCP stand-off at Vizag airport

As YSRCP workers protested against Naidu preventing him from entering Vizag, TDP supremo sat down on road along with his supporters to protest against police for t allowing him to enter city. stand-off between two groups lasted for almost 5 hours before police moved to detain Naidu.

Naidu, who had been protesting peacefully, n asked police to give him in writing as to why y want to arrest him. officers later gave him in writing that y are arresting him under Section 151 of Criminal Procedure Code, which was later dropped. police escorted Naidu back to airport to send him back to eir Vijaywada or Hyderabad.

YSRCP leaders have stated that Chandrababu Naidu has moral right to visit Vishakhapatnam as he has been opposing it as an executive capital. former CM has been leading movement demanding to retain Amravati as only capital.

YSRCP MLA Jogi Ramesh Calls former CM Naidu a 'demon'

YSRCP MLA Jogi Ramesh on Tuesday slammed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and called him a 'Naaraasura (Nara demon).' Calling former CM a 'demon', YSRCP MLA stated, ' demon's rule is over in Andhra Pradesh'. While addressing a press conference in Andhra Pradesh, MLA said, "N Chandrababu Naidu is Naaraasura (Nara demon), akin to Naraka asura. demon's rule is over in state."

Jogi Ramesh's attack comes closely after  TDP chief kickstarted his 'Praja Chaitanya Yatra', which began on Monday. Calling out former CM for yatra, MLA Jogi stated that instead of  'Praja Chaitanya Yatra,' Naidu should have organised a 'Paschattapa yatra' or 'Prayaschitta yatra.'
