Deepika Pukone denied consuming or procuring drugs during her questioning by  Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday, sources said to Republic. actor h been confronted with her chats where she was seen asking for ‘maal’ and ‘hash’, during her interrogation, and h accepted m, sources h said yesterday ding that NCB team is t satisfied with her responses. investigating ncy is set to cross-verify statement with data, as officials also seized her phone.

Deepika Pukone questioned by NCB

NCB will examine Deepika Pukone’s denial on consumption and procurement of drugs, with her digital data that has been retrieved and statements of or persons related to her. Following her questioning for almost 6 hours at NCB guest house on Saturday,  officers were t satisfied with her answers and felt it was ‘evasive and tutored.’ y have t given her a clean chit, neir have y ruled out future summons or confrontation, sources said.

Deepika Pukone h been confronted along with her manr Karishma Prakash, who appeared for questioning for second time, on Saturday. Deepika’s 'maal' conversation h been with Karishma, who is also employed with KWAN, talent manment ncy that mans actor. Or members of company were also present in a group named ‘DP+Ka+KWAN’, including Jaya Saha.

Meanwhile, a day after Rakul Preet Singh’s questioning, Sara Ali Khan and Shrdha Kapoor were also quizzed by NCB. As per sources, even ir phones and that of Simone Khambata, Karishma Prakash and Jaya Saha have been impounded by NCB. Sara was also asked for her phones used in 2017 and 2018, to which she replied that she was t aware about it. 

In statement to media, NCB refused to give away too much information, but stated that furr summons h been issued to actors. officers will be submitting a report to NCB DG Rakesh Asthana. NCB Deputy DG (Southwest Region), Mutha Ashok Jain also confirmed Kshitij Pras’s arrest, and that he will be produced before court on Sunday.
