'Situation in national capital is normal and peaceful': Delhi Police

While speaking on the law & order and traffic situation in northeast Delhi, Joint Commissioner of Police stated that 'peace and normalcy' have been restored.

On Thursday, while speaking on law and order and traffic situation in various parts of violence-stricken areas in rast Delhi, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Narendra Singh Bundela stated that re was 'rmalcy and peace' as of w. latest death toll figure of violence has risen to 34 with over 189 people injured on Thursday. " situation is quite rmal and peaceful as far as security and traffic are concerned," said Joint Commissioner of Police.

In an important clarification, Ministry of Home Affairs also stated that sufficient forces have been deployed in national capital since Monday. It opined that situation was under control.

"We have held talks and conducted patrols with people of all communities. Services such as ro cleaning have resumed and traffic flow is rmal," Bundela told news ncy ANI.

However, Bundela also warned that people could go about ir daily needs, but were refrained from going out collectively as a group. "People can go out to get ir daily needs from market but we are vising m t to come out in groups," he said.

Delhi Police PRO holds press conference 

Delhi Police on Wednesday dressed a press conference over assessment of  law and order regarding violent clashes that broke out in rast Delhi.  Delhi Police PRO, MS Randhawa in press conference revealed that till w y h registered 18 FIRs and over 106 people h been arrested in connection with incidents. "Miscreants are being identified. We have CCTV foot and strong evidence. untoward incident has taken place today," said Delhi Police PRO.

"We appeal to public to share with us any information or any problem. y may also seek assistance any time. public can call on 22829334 and 22829335 for any help or information.  situation is under control right w," said MS Randhawa in press conference.
