Flight Lt. Gunjan Saxena backs IAF before Delhi HC, says 'faced no discrimination'

Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena tells Delhi HC that she faced no discrimination on the basis of her gender during her service with the Indian Air Force.

Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, whose life story has been me into a feature film, in her affidavit before Delhi High Court stated that she faced discrimination in IAF on basis of her  as shown in movie, document of which is accessed by Republic TV. Delhi High Court on September 18 h asked real-life Gunjan Saxena to submit an affidavit stating her assessment of content shown in Netflix movie Gunjan Saxena: Kargil Girl.

Single Bench of Justice Rajiv Shakdher has furr asked said retired Air Force officer to state as to wher producers of film violated terms of any agreement y h entered into with her.

"I h control over exercise of “creative liberties” during making of movie. I have t faced any discrimination on basis of my in IAF. IAF as an institution is very progressive. I will forever be grateful for opportunities given to me by IAF," affidavit res.

injunction against 'Gunjan Saxena: Kargil Girl'

Centre and IAF filed a plea seeking a stay on brocast, telecast, digital or OTT release as well as atre release of Gunjan Saxena: Kargil Girl claiming that it maligns 'dignity and reputation' of IAF. y also said that film's portrayal of IAF shows practices of biases which 'dams IAF's reputation' and C has been taken from IAF by film producers.

y furr contended that film was t shown to preview committee and MoU was signed before release which is a general practice. Delhi HC refused to grant an interim stay on brocast of film based on Gunjan Saxena's life while asking Dharma Productions Private Limited, Karan Yash Johar, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, Netflix, and ors to file a response on Centre and IAF's plea against film.
