Home Ministry blacklists Markaz foreign attendees for ten years: Sources
In a major decision, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on Thursday, has blacklisted foreigners who attended the Nizamuddin Markaz event, as per sources.

In a major decision, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on Thursday, has blacklisted 2200 foreigners who attended Nizamuddin Markaz event, as per sources. Centre has been in touch with envoys of different countries from where pilgrims travelled to India for event, deciding on action to be taken on se attendees. Moreover, Centre has also sought deportation of Markaz attendees, if y test negative for Coronavirus.

Delhi police files chargesheet against 526 Markaz attendees
On May 28, Delhi Police filed 12 charge sheets against 536 Tablighi Jamaat members from three countries. Till w, police has alrey filed charge sheets against 374 foreigners from 32 countries. officials said charges against Tablighi Jamaat members pertain to violation of visa rules, government guidelines regarding Epidemic Disease Act and acting negligently in a way that was likely to spre infection of disease dangerous to life.

Previously Union Minister Harsh Vardhan stated that re was need to discuss and bring up Tablighi Jamaat event in relation to Coronavirus anymore since 'a lot' h alrey been said and discussed on it. While answering a question posed by BJP leer GVL Narasimha Rao on wher Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi was a 'take-off' point for Coronavirus in country, Harsh Vardhan stated that he 'feels b' to raise issue every time. Centre h initially stated that 30% of cases in India were due to Markaz event.

What is Nizamuddin COVID-19 scare?
On March 30, sources reported that a religious programme was organised at Tablighi Jamaat's hequarters Markaz Nizamuddin mosque between 13-15 March which h over 3400 attendees from Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan and from several states in India. After attending meeting, prior to nationwide lockdown, 1500 of se attendees returned to several parts of country, possibly spreing COVID-19 virus. mosque has claimed that while y were letting small groups of attendees leave from venue prior to Janta Curfew, several were stuck in area owing to nationwide lockdown. All 2631 occupants have been evacuated and building has been sanitised. Delhi Crime Branch which has booked Markaz chief Maulana Sa for violating lockdown, who is still in self-isolation but aiding with police investigation.
