J&K: One terrorist gunned down by forces in Ganderbal after encounter
In yet another victory for the forces against terrorists, security forces on Tuesday, have gunned down one terrorist in Gund, Ganderbal, as per J&K police

In yet another victory for the forces against terrorists, security forces on Tuesday, have gunned down one terrorist in Gund, Ganderbal, as informed by Jammu-Kashmir police. Security forces have been engaged in an encounter since early morning. This has been the second encounter between security forces and terrorists in two days.

Earlier on Monday had gunned down two terrorists after an encounter with the forces, as confirmed by Kashmir Zone Police. Police had added that arms and ammunition have been recovered now. Forces informed that the terrorist was a Pakistani named Talha and was involved with the LeT.

Pak infiltration bid foiled
Earlier on Friday, the Indian Army had foiled a major infiltration bid by terrorists after Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. According to reports, Pakistan violated ceasefire for the second time on Friday morning at 11.45 am. Earlier, the Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire in the same area at about 2.30 am on Friday night. According to the Defence officials, while the Indian Army retaliated befittingly, one army jawan lost his life during a ceasefire violation.

Previous violation of ceasefire by Pak
Ahead of the media briefing by the delegation of Members of European Parliament who visited Kashmir on October 29, Pakistan Army on October 30 violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhil sector of the Kupwara district. At least four civilians were injured in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Drangiyari Tregam sector of Kupwara on October 25, being the latest. There has been a rapid increase in ceasefire violations from the Pakistan side along the LoC for the past 2 years.
