Amid political crisis in Rajasthan, a Jaipur court has given a d to probe into allegations against Union minister Gajendra Shekhawat in an alleged credit cooperative society scam. Shekhawat has been named in complaint along with his wife and ors in Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society scam in which thousands of investors allegedly lost about Rs 900 crores. While Shekhawat was t mentioned in charge sheet filed by SOG in connection with case, applicants n approached ditional district judge's court. Jaipur unit of SOG has probed into scam since last year. An FIR was registered on August 23, 2019.

development comes amid allegations by Congress that minister is involved in a bid to topple Ashok Gehlot government. Special Operations Group (SOG) has alrey sent a tice to minister in connection with a probe into audio clips that purportedly indicate efforts to lure MLAs away from Congress. On Tuesday, ditional district judge Pawan Kumar directed ditional chief judicial magistrate's court to send complaint against BJP leer to SOG.
Shekhawat has refuted allegations and said that he is rey for any probe into matter. Minister also said that he does t kw about any Sanjay Jain whose name has also been mentioned in audiotape. "I am rey to face any investigation. audio doesn't have my voice and that is fake audio," he said.

Earlier on Wednesday, commenting on ongoing delock in Rajasthan, Shekhawat said that country is paying price due to 'one family'. What seems to be a taunt aimed at Gandhi family, Shekhawat's comment comes against backdrop of Rahul Gandhi saying that BJP is attempting to dislodge elected Congress government in Rajasthan amid Coronavirus pandemic.

Rajasthan SOG produced audio clip which allegedly features businessman Sanjay Jain talking to MLAs about money transactions in a sessions court in Jaipur. court has w ordered Jain to a four-day remand of Special Operations Group (SOG) team of Rajasthan Police. Moreover, sources state that accused BJP leers - Ashok Singh and Bharat Malani refused to give ir voice samples for furr investigation. SOG team has also visited hotels in Haryana to issue a tice to 19 rebel MLAs to collect evidence in form of voice samples.

BJP demands CBI inquiry
dressing a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra demanded a CBI inquiry on phone taping. Rajasthan government sent its report on phone tapping to Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Home Ministry h on July 18 asked Rajasthan Chief Secretary to submit a report after BJP alleged illegalities on phone tapping in state.
