On September 10, Delhi High Court along with or courts in national capital are set to hear a handful of relevant matters. From school fees dispute on imposing costs on students for period after lockdown to a plea challenging extension of tenure granted to Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) Director N G Desai, judiciary shall vance in cases.

Here's a day plan for September 10 for courts in Delhi 

In High Court of Delhi 

  • School Fees Row

Delhi HC is set to hear several appeals, including Delhi government against a single judge order allowing private and unaided recognised schools to collect annual and development charges from students for period after COVID-19 lockdown ended in national capital in 2020.

Previously, Delhi government informed court that charging annual developmental charges is arbitrary, given that se schools have not resumed operations for long, and physical classes is a far-fetched aim.

  • Plea for supply of COVID vaccines 

Court will continue to hear a plea seeking directions to Centre and Delhi government to ensure an equate supply of COVID vaccines for its residents of national capital, especially in 18-44 age bracket.

  • Plea challenging appointment of IHBAS Director

Court will continue to hear a plea challenging extension of tenure granted to IHBAS Director N G Desai, even after he attained age of 65 years.

  • Delhi Riots Larger Conspiracy Case 

Court will continue hearing on matter pertaining to larger conspiracy that led to violence in North East Delhi in February 2020. All accused are set to appear before virtual hearing court since re are numerous accused in case at hand.  Delhi court came down heavily on Delhi Police for ir "lackaisical attitude" in probing 2020 Delhi riots cases. court directed Police Commissioner to take appropriate action ensuring proper and expeditious investigation into m.  Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Arun Kumar Garg me remarks while hearing a case against Dinesh Yav, arrested for rioting. Delhi Police has been granted 'last and final' opportunity to file a supplementary chargesheet in case. court noted that accused has been in jail for almost a year and matter is unable to proceed with case on merits, along with or riots cases due to "lackaisical attitude" of investigating agency, including officers up to rank of DCP.
