After two videos emerged from Jamia Millia Islamia university's library from December 15, ar video has emerged on Monday showing Delhi police and paramilitary students hitting students. undated video, which has been shared by twitter handle 'Jamia Millia Islamia' (t official account of university), shows police trashing students (masked and orwise) as y run away from library. Moreover, video also shows one of policemen dressed in riot gear seemingly trying to destroy CCTV in library.

Jamia co-ordination committee on Saturday shared a video of police officers hitting students in library of Jamia Millia Islamia University on 15 December 2019. video - which is a CCTV foot of first-floor reing hall in university, shows police dressed in full riot gear hitting those gared in library. While BJP has claimed that foot is fake, or political parties have condemned excessive police action.

Soon, ar video emerged from same library, prior to Delhi police and paramilitary forces entered library. new video shows students assembled in library when masked men suddenly enter library and n students help to barrice entrance of library. video also shows a person gesturing assembled crowd (students and masked men) to move inside away from door, while one of students is seen carrying stones in his hand. Jamia university has distanced itself from videos.

What happened at Jamia University?

On December 15, university witnessed violent clashes after students were stopped from marching to parliament protesting Citizenship Act. While students stated that police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas, police have claimed that y were forced to do so after students refused to stop ir march when requested. Police claimed that students broke barrices and indulged in stone-pelting at police personnel, causing injuries to 12 policemen. Over 100 students have been injured with one student losing an eye. Police also claim that some protestors who were vandalising public property h resorted to stone-pelting and h rushed into university, triggering police entry into campus.
