Nuh turns fortress month after clashes, 1,900 cops on ground, no internet, schools closed

Security in Nuh, Haryana district that was site of fierce clashes following a violent episode at a religious procession on July 31, has been stepped up following a call for anor procession on Monday, August 28. Section 144 has been imposed in district after Haryana government refused permission to Vishwa Hindu Parish to hold a shobha yatra. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said permission was denied in wake of violence that took place in region a few weeks ago. He said people can visit temples in ir respective areas, in observance of month of Shravan.
Nuh to soon host G20 events
ded to concerns surrounding recent violence, security has also been beefed up in Nuh on account of upcoming G20 events. Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor said all entry points to districts have been sealed and ministration will ensure that no outsider can enter. Mobile internet will remain suspended in Nuh till Monday night as a preventive measure.

Nearly 1,900 cops and 26 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed. An anti-riot team has been set up by Faridab police to deal with law-and-order problems.
Police have been directed to keep a watch on political leers or religious organisations heing towards Nuh. ministration has ordered schools, colleges and banks to stay closed in Nuh.
