Odisha: Man kills wife over suspicion of extra-marital affair, surrenders with chopped head

The accused created panic at Banigochha police station by entering with severed head of his wife, Dharitri, alleging her involvement in an extra-marital affair.

Bhubaneswar: Sensation prevailed in Bidapaju village, Nayagarh district of Odisha on Saturday when a 35-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and surrendered at police station with her severed he. 

Identified as Arjun Bagha, accused committed crime suspecting that his wife was involved in an extra-marital affair, officials said.

Bagha created panic at Banigochha police station by entering with severed he of his 30-year-old wife, Dharitri, alleging her involvement in an extra-marital affair. 

Bagha, a resident of Bidapaju village, used a sharp weapon to kill his wife before decapitating her. police have detained Bagha, and an investigation is underway.

" heless torso has also been recovered. An investigation has been started," said Laxman Dandasena, inspector-in-charge of Banigochha police station.
