As Centre and Bihar government agree to let CBI probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Maharashtra government has remained adamant that Mumbai police is competent to handle case. single-judge SC bench has ordered Maharasthra government and police to put on record all details pertaining to probe on Rajput's death within 3 days, while hearing actor Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking case to be transferred from Bihar to Mumbai.

Justice Hrishikesh Roy said, “Truth should come out so far as actor’s death is concerned,” and Mumbai Police is officially in dock. Here are reasons why:

Bihar SP Vinay Tiwari heading a police team from Patna probing case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death was "forcibly quarantined" by municipal authorities in Mumbai, Bihar Director-General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey had said.

Isn’t it a hammerblow to tall claims of a proper investigation by Mumbai Police when Justice Roy said, "We will take care of concern raised regarding destruction of evidence”? Isn’t it clear that credibility of Mumbai Police's sham investigation is under question?

When Supreme Court in it’s order says "three days time is granted to all parties to place on record ir respective stand in matter. State of Maharashtra should apprise Court on st of investigation by Mumbai Police by next date,” isn't it clear Mumbai Police is in dock?

"Mr. Vikas Singh, learned senior counsel for Complainant/respondent . 2 submits that Complainant is apprehensive about misdirection of investigation by Mumbai Police and, refore, Bihar Police Authorities should be permitted to carry on ir investigation into suspicious circumstances on death of son of Complainant. Having considered all above submissions, three days time is granted to all parties to place on record ir respective stand in matter. State of Maharashtra should apprise Court on st of investigation by Mumbai Police by next date."
