Techie murder case: Woman turns into transgender to marry Nandhini, burns her alive for refusing
According to the police, the accused, a woman earlier, developed a liking for Nandhini & in order to approach her, turned herself to transgender man.

A bewildering news about a 25-year-old female techie who was burnt alive near Chennai has sent a shock wave across the state of Tamil Nadu. The victim, identified as Nandhini, a resident of Madurai, was working in a private IT firm situated in the Perungudi area.
The Thazhambur police have arrested her ex-boyfriend, Vetrimaran, after a preliminary inquiry into the matter. He was produced before the court, from where he has been sent to judicial custody.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) came across shocking revelations during the investigation of the sensational murder case. According to the investigation details accessed by Republic TV, Vetrimaran committed the crime after the victim cut all ties with him.
According to police sources, Vetrimaran, who was earlier known as Pandi Murugeshwari, was a woman and went to the same college as Nandhini in Madurai. He developed intense liking for her in the college and in order to approach her for a relationship, turned into a transgender man.

Apparently, after turning into a transgender man, Vetrimaran approached Nandhini and the two went on to share a relationship with each other. However, Nandhini, later found out about the real sexual identity of Vetrimaran and refused to carry forward with the relationship.
Nandhini cut all ties with Vetrimaran, which enraged him. Not only this, over the time, she apparently started seeing another man in Chennai. Triggered by the breakup and Nandhini’s other relationship, the accused hatched a plan to eliminate Nandhini on her birthday, say police sources.

How murder plan executed?
As per the revelations made by the accused, he constantly tried to communicate with Nandhini and managed to persuade her to spend some time with him on her birthday. He took Nandhini out on her birthday on Saturday, to a temple followed by a visit to an old age home. Later, he took her on the isolated route from Mambakkam to Perumbakkam and stopped near Ponmar.
In the name of a surprise, he blindfolded and tied her hands and legs using iron chains. He then hacked her multiple times with a knife. After which, he poured petrol on her body and set her ablaze before fleeing the spot, leaving her screaming and shouting for help.

Meanwhile, the locals of the Thazhambur area came to her rescue after hearing her screaming for help. She was shifted to a nearby hospital with the help of an ambulance in severely burnt condition. In the hospital, she succumbed to her injury during treatment.
During the investigation of the case, Vetrimaran apparently acted to be in shock and tried to mislead the police by dramatically crying and shouting for the incident. However, the truth was revealed and he was later arrested by the police.
