Three minor boys stab man to death, set body on fire to avenge sexual assaults on them in Delhi

Three minor boys allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man to death and set his dead body on fire, as the deceased used to sexually assault one of them for the past some time. The sensational incident took place in Southeast Delhi’s Nizamuddin area, from where the half burnt body of the deceased has been recovered.

After the revelation of the truth by the juveniles themselves, the Hazrat Nizamuddin police reached the spot at Khusro Park and recovered the dead body. Further, the body has been sent for postmortem and all the three minor boys have been apprehended.

Deceased was a proclaimed offender of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast Delhi), Rajesh Deo identified the deceased as Azad (25), a resident of Nizam Nagar Basti Nizamuddin. He was a proclaimed offender of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station.

According to the police, the deceased allegedly used to sexually assault one of the accused, following which he along with his two minor friends planned to kill him. All the accused in the case are of the age group 16 and 17.

Briefing about the incident, the DCP stated, “On December 23, at 9.28 pm, an information was received at the police station regarding the apprehension of three suspects by Head Constable Ramkesh and other police personnel. Sub-Inspector Pankaj immediately reached there, where upon inquiry the suspects, who were all residents of Nizamuddin Basti, disclosed that they had murdered a man namely Azad and his dead body was lying in Khusro Park.”

“Upon their confession, the police team reached at the spot with the alleged minor and a half burnt dead body was found lying in Khusro park. Further the crime team inspected the scene of crime and the dead body was preserved at AIIMS,” DCP Deo said.

Accordingly a case under relevant sections was registered and the Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) were formally apprehended by the police.

Revelation

During interrogation, a CCL revealed that on December 21 at about 10 PM, they had murdered Azad because Azad tried to sexually assault him on various occasions. In order to take revenge, they brutally assaulted the deceased and killed him. Later, in order to destroy the identity of the deceased, they also tried to burn the dead body with the help of dry grass and clothes.

Further investigation into the matter is being carried out.
