In a shocking incident in UP, a man severed the head of his wife when she tried to stop him from drinking and later walked to the police station carrying it

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh, a man severed head of his wife when she tried to stop him from drinking and later carried it to police station. On Monday morning, accused carried head to police station and confessed to crime. incident took place on night of vember 10 in Etmadudaula area under Hari Parbat police station in Agra.

Accused Naresh an alcoholic

man identified as Naresh works as a TV repair mechanic, was married to Shanti 17 years ago, and couple has four children including three daughters and a son. Naresh's alcoholism had been  reason for friction between him and his wife. According to reports, Naresh was drinking at his house on Sunday night when his wife tried to stop him. An angry Naresh picked up a chopper and cut off his wife's head. He put severed head in a canister late in night. He locked up room in which his wife's body lay.

Accused under arrest  

Even as police started hunting for Naresh, he reached police station with canister in which he had kept his wife's head. He has been arrested and is being interrogated. He has denied that he was drunk when he committed crime but has accused his wife of having extra-marital relations. Police said that forensic teams had reached site of crime because Naresh had tried to clean bloodstains on chopper and floor. 

Delhi: Man who confessed to murdering wife arrested

On vember 6, a 38-year-old man was arrested after he confessed that he murdered his wife by strangulating her, police said. accused identified as Sumit Mongia, a resident of Malviya Nagar informed police staff at Malviya Nagar police station that he killed his wife Deepika Mongia d 31 years, police said. Police said accused after committing crime locked his house which was on fourth floor and n came to police station. He murdered his wife because y used to have a frequent quarrel over petty issues. A case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered, police added.
