Youth from Jammu and Kashmir demand restoration of 4G services

Almost a year after high-speed mobile internet services were snapped in Jammu and Kashmir, re has been a growing demand from youth for restoration of services.
Jammu and Kashmir government continues to maintain that restoration of high-speed mobile internet service would be detrimental for security situation in Kashmir valley and that terrorists might misuse service to carry out infiltration and attack in newly carved Union territory.

“re are inputs and apprehensions that anti-national elements and terrorists sitting in Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir might misuse high-speed intent services to carry out an attack in Jammu and Kashmir, hence restrictions are necessary” a recent order of Jammu and Kashmir government read.
However, youth across Union Territory especially Jammu region say that for past one-year Jammu has been suffering for sins of anti-national elements of Kashmir and government considers that Jammu has always been peaceful, so high-speed internet services should be restored in Jammu.

“Jammu does t deserve to suffer for sins of anti-national people of Kashmir, government must immediately restore high-speed internet services in Jammu as Jammu has always been peaceful and people here are hardcore nationalists”, Jasbeer Singh a local resident said.

“While world is discussing 5G we are still stuck with 2G, people living in or parts of countries do understand that high-speed internet has been a necessity and is longer a luxury” Singh said.
students are worst sufferers as y say that during times of COVID-19 when ir educational institutions have shifted to online classes, y are unable to follow classes as t every student has a wire-based internet facility.

“ reach of wire-based internet services is limited in Jammu region and t every student has access to it, it becomes impossible to attend a lecture on 2G mobile speed. We urge government to restore high-speed mobile internet services in Jammu region at an earliest”, Anuj Kumar Mangotra a student said.
