CRPF dog saves life of a man trapped in a landslide in Jammu & Kashmir, watch the rescue

The CRPF men on Wednesday were able to find a man trapped under the debris of a landslide which had occurred day before near milestone 147 on Jammu-Srinagar highway thanks to their dog Ajaxi.

canine le CRPF men towards man who h been buried amidst remains from landslide. men who belonged to 72nd Battalion swung into action and dug man out and rescued him. He has been mitted to hospital. As per reports, man has been identified as Preep Kumar and he is a resident of Ludhwal.

Heavy and relentless rainfall in state h triggered landslides in several areas. 

On Tuesday morning, pilgrim to goddess Vaish Devi shrine located in Trikuta Hills was also suspended following a landslide on New Track situated between hkuwari and Bhawan. However, pilgrim is continuing through tritional track.

Landslide in state results to suspension of Shri Amarnath Yatra

vehicular traffic between Jammu and Srinagar was suspended on Wednesday due to landslides at Moud in Udhampur. According to Traffic Police sources, intermittent shooting stones and rain has been hindering debris clearance operation at se sites. " 300-km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed due to landslide and falling of stones from hilltops in Moud area of Udhampur district due to continuous heavy rainfall," LK Taneja, DSP Traffic, Udhampur said. "Shri Amarnath Yatra has been suspended as well. Traffic has been suspended on highway due to falling of rocks and landslide. men and machines have been pressed into service to clear landslides but highway is still closed," he ded.
