Gujarat Floods: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of weather warnings for Gujarat in response to an approaching weather system. The state is expected to experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated locations on August 29, followed by heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 30, and heavy rainfall over coastal districts on August 31.

Rainfall Forecast:

August 29: Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.

August 30: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

August 31: Heavy rainfall at isolated places, particularly over coastal districts.

Wind Warnings:

August 29-30: Squally winds reaching 45-55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph, are likely over South Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch.

August 29-31: Squally winds of 55-65 kmph, gusting to 75 kmph, are expected along and off the Gujarat coasts and adjoining Pakistan coasts, as well as over the northeast and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea.

August 30-September 1: Gale winds reaching 65-75 kmph, gusting to 85 kmph, are forecasted for the northeast Arabian Sea off Gujarat and Pakistan coasts.

August 31-September 2: Gale winds of 65-75 kmph, gusting to 85 kmph, will likely affect the northwest and adjoining west-central Arabian Sea off Pakistan and southeast Iran coasts.

August 29-31: Strong winds reaching 40-50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, are expected along and off the north Maharashtra coasts.
