Dehradun: A tragic road accident happened in Dehradun where a scooter rider was hit by a truck while crossing the road. The incident, captured on CCTV footage, has sent shockwaves on social media. 

According to local authorities, the collision happened in the Raipur Chowk area of Dehradun during the day. 

The biker was crossing the road when a truck coming from one direction collided with the bike. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the immediate death of one rider, while the fellow rider is said to be in a serious condition and going under treatment in the hospital.

Both the bike riders were rushed to the nearby hospital; one was sadly pronounced brought dead at the hospital. The truck driver has been taken into custody by the police for further investigation.
