Delhi: Air Quality remains 'severe' as heavy smog looms the capital

According to locals, y are forced to wear masks as pollution is increasing. Some of m have also opined government needs to take action and resolve matter, while ors argued that people have to take initiative in a bid to combat menace. According to a local, "Our eyes are burning, we are having trouble breathing. People are forced to wear masks whenever y go outside." Ar local stated that re is smog everywhere in national capital.

Delhi's Air Quality worsens yet again
After a brief respite last week, Delhi's air quality has started rising again. According to System of Air Quality and Wear Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in national capital is over 450 on vember 12. An AQI between 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'. Above 500 falls in 'severe-plus emergency' category.

Kejriwal stresses dangers of stubble burning
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday, vember 11, urged people of Haryana and Punjab to stop stubble burning. Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal said, "pollution in national capital has again started increasing after some respite last week." He furr stated that people in national capital are suffering immensely due to rising air pollution. "We should stop stubble burning," he said.
