Delhi: Brother-in-Law Kills Man Over Flower Garland Business Dispute in Sonia Vihar

A dispute over a business of flower garlands resulted in a man killing his brother-in-law in North East Delhi's Sonia Vihar area.

New Delhi: A dispute over a business of flower garlands resulted in a man killing his bror-in-law in rth East Delhi's Sonia Vihar area. According to Delhi police, a 35-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his bror-in-law on Sunday over a business dispute on Bhai Dooj. victim sustained two bullet injuries on his chest which caused him fatal injuries. 

police identified victim as Hemant. After incident, body of deceased was sent for post-mortem. A case was registered under relevant sections and a search was initiated to nab accused identified as Ajay.

According to police, y received a PCR call regarding a firing incident around 6.20 pm and rushed to spot at First Pusta in Sonia Vihar.

y found that Bantu's sisters, Rekha and Chandni had come to visit him on Bhai Dooj with ir husbands, Ajay and Hemant, respectively, a senior police officer said.

Both Ajay and Hemant are in business of making garlands, he said.

During festivities, a heated argument broke out between Ajay and Hemant about ir businesses. Ajay fired at Hemant and fled, officer said.

Hemant was rushed to JPC Hospital for treatment and succumbed to his injuries. He received two bullet injuries -- one on his head and one on left side of his chest, officer said.

Furr investigation into matter is underway, he added.
