New Delhi: Bail of four co-owners of IAS coaching centre basement where three UPSC aspirants drowned to death, has been rejected by a Delhi Court.
Three UPSC aspirants h died after drowning in coaching centre's basement in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar which was illegally being used as a library; after waterlogging because of rain in area.

Bail Plea of 4 Co-Owners of Coaching Centre Basement Rejected
A Delhi court on Friday rejected bail applications of four jailed co-owners of a coaching centre basement where three civil services aspirants drowned last month.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna said, "Investigation is at initial stage. I am not inclined to give bail." A detailed order of court is awaited.

On August 17, court h reserved order after hearing arguments of lawyers of CBI and basement's four joint owners -- Parvinder Singh, Tajinder Singh, Harvinder Singh and Sarbjit Singh.
Delhi High Court recently transferred probe into deaths in basement of coaching centre building in Old Rajinder Nagar from police to CBI "to ensure public has no doubt over investigation".

Basements of 10 More Coaching Centres Sealed by MCD
In anor related news, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) continued its crackdown on commercial activities proliferating in basements in national capital as it sealed 10 such coaching centres and libraries in Shahdara (South Zone), Karol Bagh, and Najafgarh Zone for violating building bylaws.
This happened eleven days after three IAS aspirants drowned at a flooded basement of Rau's Study Circle coaching centre in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar after rainwater gushed inside its basement.

For unversed, three UPSC aspirants, identified as Shreya Yav, Tanya Soni, and Nivin Dalvin, lost ir lives after water from a flooded drain gushed into library in basement of Rau's IAS Study Circle (July 27).
