Delhi Government converts schools into shelter homes for migrant workers
The Delhi Government has now decided to convert several schools into shelter homes to accommodate migrant workers.

After New Delhi witnessed mass exodus of migrants piling up on buses at Anand Vihar Bus Terminus, Delhi Government has w decided to convert several schools into shelter homes to accommodate migrant workers.
Earlier in day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to all migrants to t move and stay in one place, in order to contain spre of Coronavirus. In a mess posted on his Twitter account, chief minister requested citizens to stay where y are.

While speaking to a news ncy, Vinay Kumar, one of caretakers of such shelters said, "In one of Paharganj schools, re are around 30 rooms where se poor people can be accommodated. Five to six people can live toger in a single room."

He also ded that government was making all necessary arrangements to provide food to migrant workers here, thrice a day. " Delhi government is constantly giving us information about needy so that or person can take vant of se facilities," Kumar ded.

Kejriwal appeals to people
"Some people are getting desperate to go back to ir homes. Prime Minister ji has appealed everyone t to move out and remain wherever y are. I am also requesting you people to stay back and t go to your vills, because in such crowds, you may also fall prey to Coronavirus. n, virus will also spre to vills through you. It will reach several corners of country. n it would be difficult for us to combat this menace."
Earlier in day, Ministry of Information and Brocasting in a press release h informed that Centre h directed states to enforce a strict lockdown. While Centre h appreciated states for maintaining lockdown effectively by and large, it h expressed its concern over migrant exodus happening across state borders.
