Union minister Prakash Javekar on Friday accused Arvind Kejriwal government of taking credit for pollution mitigation and dengue prevention without doing anything for it. Javekar released an RTI-based report brought out by BJP-linked think tank Public Policy Research Centre (PPRC) which claimed that fiscal deficit of Delhi government has increased by 55 times in past two years. immediate reaction was available from ruling Aam Ami Party (AAP).
BJP vice presidents Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and Shyam Jaju, and PPRC director Sumeet Bhasin, BJP's Good Governance Cell member Virendra Sachdeva were present at release of report on performance of AAP government in Delhi. Javekar alleged Delhi government failed to fulfill 67 of 70 promises me by Aam Ami Party (AAP) in run-up to 2015 Assembly polls. "Uski topi apne sar (claiming credit for ors' work) is style of Arvind Kejriwal. Centre and BJP ruled municipal corporations contained pollution and dengue but Kejriwal took credit for it through vertisements," Javekar said. He asserted that political scene in Delhi was favourable to BJP as people liked policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Kejriwal failed to fulfill his promise to regularise unauthorized colonies but Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided ownership rights to residents of se colonies," he asserted. He said it was s that government-run by Kejriwal, who was once kwn as face of RTI, did t reply to over 900 of 1,200-odd queries me to it for preparing report.
