New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Rohini area of the national capital. 

The victim was immediately taken to the hospital but was unfortunately declared dead.

A resident of Rohini Sector 17, Shakti was stabbed in a case of old enmity within the jurisdiction of Police Station KNK Marg in Rohini.

The incident has caused panic among the locals as they highlighted the need for better vigilance and preventive measures for such violent acts.

Suspects Detained For Questioning, Investigation Underway

A case has been registered by the Delhi Police under the relevant sectins of the law and an investigation is underway.

The police has detained three suspects for questioning and according to the preliminary investigations, there is a possibility of history of enmity between the deceased and alleged perpetrators; details surrounding the motive and circumstances leading to the stabbing are still under scrutiny.

A similar incident was reported from the Bhajanpura Police Station area on July 11, in which a 28-year-old man working in a tour and travel business was stabbed to death.

The incident occurred when the deceased, who was identified as Sumit, was sitting in a street and had a verbal spat with a group of boys. The boys attacked him with a knife after the spat.

DCP North East Delhi Police Joy Tirkey said, "The incident occurred at 11:30 pm in the night. The name of the deceased is Sumit, aged 28 years, working in the tour and travel industry and he used to run a gym. The area falls under the Bhajanpur Police station."
