Delhi: Jaffrabad protests against CAA continues overnight, 1000 women block metro station

National Capital is witnessing a repeat of a similar prototype of sit-in at Shaheen Bagh after a large number of people including over 1,000 women gared at Jaffrabad metro station area at night to protest against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). protestors which gared re blocked road under metro station.
As per Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, entry and exit of Jaffrabad have been closed and trains have been asked to t halt at station. protests began on late Friday night and have continued till Sunday morning. protestors have stated that y will t move from site until Centre revoke Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

Metro station shut down
protestors which has gared and taken over Jaffrabad metro station area raised slogans of 'azadi' while protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). protestors, mostly women, were also seen wearing caps with a mess ' NRC". protestors have also hijacked road near metro station which connects Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar. Seeing security situation, police force has reached site.

Heavy security has been deployed at agitation site and DCP (rth-East) Ved Prakash Surya is present re. Protesters also anunced that y would take out a foot march from Jafrabad road to Rajghat on Sunday. However, Delhi Police have refused to give m permission for march.
